The AV board is based on the concept of tokonoma, or elevated alcove, which is a built-in recessed space of a traditional Japanese reception room, the space where flowers are arranged or a scroll is hung. The base of the board is movable, and different-sized boxes can be freely arranged on it. Created is a tokonoma atmosphere in a western-style space as well.
